About Elkhart County Court Records

Court records in Elkhart County, Indiana move through the Elkhart Circuit Court, Elkhart Superior Courts, city courts, the Clerk of the Court, the sheriff, and state systems such as MyCase and INjail. This private reference site organizes those public access paths so visitors can identify the correct office, portal, address, and phone number for local court and custody records.

Why We Built This Site

Indiana gives the public broad access to many court records, but Elkhart County uses several access points. MyCase handles public case searches for the Odyssey court system. The Clerk of the Court keeps the court record and seal, maintains judgments and orders, issues marriage licenses, accepts filings, receives certain payments, and keeps wills and probate trust matters. The sheriff manages jail, booking, bond, visitation, and public safety records. City courts in Elkhart, Goshen, and Nappanee can also matter for local tickets and ordinance cases.

Elkhart County also moved its main court operations to the Judicial Center in Goshen, while older web references may still point readers toward offices that were spread across several locations. The goal is to make the current Elkhart County record path clear without changing the official role of any court, clerk, sheriff, or state agency.

What You Will Find Here

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Indiana court, Elkhart County office, sheriff's office, prosecutor, clerk, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:

  • We cannot file paperwork or send records requests on your behalf
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, hour, or address listed on this website is current right now

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right Elkhart County office, but the document has to come from that office.

Search Partners

Some pages on this site include search boxes powered by third-party providers. Those companies set their own pricing and run their own services. When you use one of those tools and it leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee. That revenue helps keep this site free for visitors. We do not control what those tools charge or what shows up in their results.
